Description Chernobyl: Through the Eyes of Children offers the insight of the innocent on the social, psychological, and environmental aftermath of catastrophic technological failure. A moving collection of children's art and stories, the book dramatically portrays the continuing effects of the world's first nuclear disaster two decades after the incident.
Providing an often overlooked, but vital, perspective, Through the Eyes of Children asks us to consider the consequences of our decisions on the world we leave them.

Our Project
Update on Viola’s Progress on the Sheltering Garden Center
2-3 days every week a small group of volunteers in our organization Viola have work in our new house and in the area near the house. After the physical
work we carry out small workshops. We explain to the volunteers about Viola’s mission and our future activities in which children and youth from the
radiation zone can come rest and who will be treated in this house.
We really have a lot of work right now. But we knew it,
when it was decided to buy this house. Other homes in this region of Russia has a value of 3-5 times greater than ours, if it is sold fixed up. Many homes in the area have a veranda, a beautiful garden, a new fence and
outbuildings. But we bought the cheapest house and we are doing the work ourselves, cleaning it up and decorating it. The house has good bones and we are building upon them.
Of course, we have used everything from the material that was left because of our commitment to recycling. We re-used old boards, buckets, shovels, and even nails.
We are looking for foundations and grantmakers that can help us build our programs and partner with us to help rehabilitate the health of our children and land. If you would like to share the possibilities of attaining the international funds
and grants for our work then please contact us on our web site contact page.
